In Only Three Steps

1. Remove any excess residue on the upholstery.

2. Apply water over the stain, either directly or using a damp cloth. Wait a few seconds.

3. Press down over the stain with a damp cloth and rub gently over the fabric in circular movements. If the stain does not come off completely, repeat the process as required.

The Martindale Test measures a fabric’s resilience against wear and tear, indicating how it will withstand usage before showing signs of deterioration. Simply put, the higher the score, the more durable the fabric. Here’s a breakdown of what each score range signifies:

• 10,000 or less: Perfect for decorative use, ideal for accents and cushions, but not recommended for heavy-duty upholstery.
• 10,000 to 20,000: Suitable for light domestic use, perfect for occasional furniture and delicate yarns, typically dry clean only.
• 20,000 – 25,000: Ideal for general domestic use, suitable for everyday furniture in your main living spaces, excluding high-stress items like recliners.
• 25,000 – 30,000: Designed for heavy domestic use, perfect for items subject to frequent use, such as recliners and motion furniture.
• 30,000 or more: Commercial-grade durability, suitable for heavy-duty furniture in any commercial setting.
